Featuring the Garatea Mission and Airvantis, “sister” company to celestialdata
by Harumi Urata-Thompson, CEO and Co-Founder of celestialdata
Don’t you like and miss “bubblies” from time to time? Even astronauts feel that and the human race has been experimenting how carbonation and yeast behave in the #microgravity environment in #outerspace for quite sometime. Amongst other things, we have discovered that yeast ferments 3 times faster than it does on the earth. Wouldn’t you get excited if you can shorten the time it takes to make your favorite drinks? I love everything around eating and drinking so I definitely appreciate that!
Airvantis and the Garatéa Mission brewed beer using the yeast that was fermented on a high altitude balloon (bottom photograph). We have to do this multiple times before we can say anything conclusive, but the bigger question here is, would you be excited to take a part of experience like this? And perhaps many others in #space or #altitude? We certainly think that there is business value here. By the way, if you happen to be somewhere near Sao Paolo, you can buy the beer that you can see below in the near future. If you are not in that vicinity, you can buy yeast that was fermented in space in a pack and brew your own.
celestialdata is trying to bring the space experiment to you by using several earth’s emerging technologies like #AI and #Blockchain. Stay tuned!
